Hester "Ounooi" Badenhorst (1937 - 2014)

Ounooi (77), a pensioner living in Smithfield, Free State, was shot in the head at her home, on 31st March 2014.

Friends of Ounooi drove past her house early that morning, and saw that the lights were still on. They went to investigate and found a broken window. The police found her body in the lounge. A charge of murder and burglary are being investigated. No one has been arrested.
