Hettie Pierce Is Called By Death
Hettie Pierce, Star Rt. 1 Box 188C, was called by death at the Bott's Nursing Home Saturday, November 3, 1962. Mrs. Pierce was born in Benton County, Kansas, November 12, 1881. She had lived in Shelton for the past 16 years and was a member of the Degree of Honor Lodge.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today, November 8, at the Batstone Funeral Home. Rev. Wesley Gaine will officiate. Interment will be in Sumner Cemetery, Sumner, Washington.
Surviving are 4 sons, Thaddeus Pierce, Paulsbo, Warren J. Pierce, Shelton and Harold C. Pierce, Fairbanks, Alaska; 2 brothers, Oscar Rash, Turlock, Calif. and Russell Rash, Browns Valley, Calif.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Effie Adamson, Selma, Calif. and Mrs. Lydia Philnot, South Gate, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
