Funeral for Herman Rosenblum, a Southwest Portland resident since 1969, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Landau Chapel, Beth Israel Cemetery.
Mr. Rosenblum died Monday in a Portland care center. He was 81.
He was born in New York City. Mr. Rosenblum was raised and educated in Spokane. In 1934, he moved to Longview, Wash. He was a retail merchant and owned several different businesses in the Longview and Kelso, Wash., areas.
Following World War II, he was active in resettling immigrants.
Mr. Rosenblum retired in 1969 and moved to Portland to be nearer to his family.
He was a member of Temple Beth Israel for more than 50 years and was a life member of Longview Elks 1514. Survivors include his wife, Mollie of Portland; a daughter, Sharon Tarlow of Portland; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to charity of choice.
