MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 0 BAHAMA: Mrs. Hilda Ellis Jacobs, 82, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Duke Regional Hospital. She was born in Durham Co, the daughter of the late Jonah and Rosa Spencer Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Hales, Katherine Bass, and Margaret Ellis; and brothers, George Ellis, Grover Ellis, and J.B. Ellis.

Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her husband, Winston Jacobs; daughters, Windy Jacobs, and Tonya Jacobs; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joan Ellis, Dorothy Crabtree, and Helen Ellis.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Ellis Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Marilyn Shipman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the church, and other times at the home of her daughters.
