Muuttaa Amerikkaan 30.3.1901, palaa takaisin Suomeen v. 1904 ja jälleen takaisin v.1905.
Toivo Lindroos: " Hilma came to America in 1905. Married her teenage sweetheart Anton Antinpoika (Andersson) who had a come over a year earlier. They were married in Nashwalk, Minn. Where Anton worked in the mine. Your mother Fanny was born in Nashwalk." (Kirje kirjoitettu Fannyn tyttärelle Aili Koskelle.)
They moved to the old farm in 1907. Anton was born there. He was then called Johannes which is his middle name now. All of Hilmas children, except your mother were born there. Anton, Hilja and Eino in the old log cabin which served as a grainary from 1916 until about 1935-40 when it was demolished. In 1916 the "big house" was finished and the barn probably a year earlier. The big house was not totally ever finished as per original plans which consisted of a future basement & finished partial 3rd story. The living room was finished in about 1927 and the original color of red was changed to white.
Toivo, Sylivia & Helen were born in the "big house", Aili, Walter, Lillian & Elaine were also born there.
Toivo Lindroos: "After Anton's death the next 3 1/2 years were a remarkable period of persistence, guts, faith, hell, etc for Hilma & her 4 children, Fanny, aged 11, Anton 9, Hilja 8 & Eino 3. However, the debt was paid off, thanks to a good potato crop and sale of timber.
In Dec.1920 Hilma married Oscar Lindroos. (ME-E)
