

US Congressman. He graduated from the law department of the University of Missouri, in 1907, was admitted to the bar and commenced to practice law in St. Louis, Missouri. He also was a lecturer in the law school at St. Louis University for several years. In 1933, he was elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-third and Seventy-fourth Congresses, serving until 1937. An unsuccessful candidate for re-nomination, he engaged in the practice of law until his death at age 61.
