Funeral Thursday for James G. Fox, 75, Who Died at Union Deposit

Private funeral services for James G. Fox, 75, former member of the State Legislature from Chester County, who died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Dr. Thomas G. Fox, Union Deposit, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the residence. Services will be in charge of the Rev. Dr. C. G. Leatherman, pastor of Hummelstown Zion Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery.

A member of an old Harrisburg family, Mr. Fox was a brother of the late L. Webster Fox. famous eve specialist, of Philadelphia. Their father, Doctor Fox, was also a member of the State Legislature and served two terms as prothonotary of Dauphin County.

The deceased served in the Legislature from 1901 to 1904. He was also a field agent in the State Bureau of Animal Industry and was a former register of wills in Chester County. He was a member of the P. O. S. of A., of Hummelstown, and of the Williamson F. and A. M., No. 309.

In addition to his son, Thomas, he is survived by six other sons, two daughters, one brother and three sisters. _

Private funeral services for James G. Fox, former member of State Legislature from Chester County, who died Monday afternoon at the home of his son, Thomas G. Fox, of Union Deposit, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of the son in Union Deposit. The Rev. Dr. C.G. Leatherman, pastor of Hummelstown, will officiate. Burial will be in the Hummelstown Cemetery.

Mr. Fox, who was 75 years old, is survived by seven sons, Robert T. Fox, of Hummelstown, former Dauphin County district attorney; Thomas G. Fox, of Union Deposit; George F. Fox, of Kansas City, Mo.; J. Walter Fox, of Upper Darby; Charles A. Fox, of Seattle, Wash.; John E. Fox, of Hershey; and James G. Fox, Collinsville, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Bampton, of Vancouver, B.C.; Mrs. Sarah Bair, of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Judge John E. Fox, of the Dauphin County Court, and three sisters, Miss Mary H. Fox, of Hummelstown; Mrs. Caroline Nissley, of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Adelaide Gay, of Germantown.
