John (will dated Aug 1712) had a stepfather named Robt Hignott. That John Crew purchased 900 AC in what would become Sussex Co, DE with his stepfather. He had a daughter Elizabeth Crew who married William Walls, she married 2) Unknown Cooper. Said Elizabeth gave a deposition 9 June 1759 explaining that she had inherited 100 AC (Sussex Co, DE) from her father at his death, that her father John had married 2) Annabelle, widow of Richard Harvey and that Annabelle was pregnant with Richard's child when she married John Crew. The deposition goes on to say that John Crew treated the child Honour Crew as his own.
