Howard Allen Graham, 87, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Sampson Regional Medical Center. Born on April 20, 1928 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Walter Karuth and Lelia May Graham. He attended Rowan County Schools and was a lifelong member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church where he was on the property committee and was on the church council. Mr. Graham served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Brawley Construction Co. as a foreman. He also liked to farm and socialize with his friends, particularly Michael and Wayne Kluttz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Karriker Graham; as well as a son, Howard Jeffery Graham; also brothers, Tom, Marvin, Robert and William Graham; and sisters, Agnes McDaniel, Betty Shoemaker and Irene Kluttz. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 27 years, Evelyn Graham formerly of Mt. Ulla; daughter, Susan Graham Mills (Michael) of Fayetteville; as well as granddaughter, Katie Mills; along with three step children; seven step grandchildren; and ten step great-grandchildren. Arrangements: A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 2 p.m., at St. Lukes Lutheran Cemetery in Mt. Ulla. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross 807 Carol St. Fayetteville, NC 28303.
