Howard Allen Rowlett

Howard Allen Rowlett, 95, of Campbellsburg, Ky., died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange, Ky.

He was born Dec. 30, 1914, in Trimble County, Ky., the son of Creed T. and Birdie Browning Rowlett. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Wise's Landing. He had served as a deacon for many years and was the last one that was appointed many years ago.

He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Rowlett of Campbellsburg, Ky.; one son, Terry Rowlett of Campbellsburg, Ky.; and one sister, Lavelle Carlisle of Dupont.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; one daughter, Barbara Jean Rowlett; his parents; two sisters, Lena Burton and Laura Chapman; and one brother, Roy Rowlett.

The funeral was at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg, Ky. Burial was in Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Ky.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 6th, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg. Rev. Carl Rucker and Rev. Matt Privett officiated. Interment was in the Bedford Cemetery.
