Hi there, Hubalde (pronounced You bad) passed during the last great flu epidemic of the early 20's. He was transporting a load of potatoes and caught the flu. He passed shortly thereafter. The date was 2 March 1920. He is my grandfather. Regards, ancestry daig Daigle/Calderwood/Graham family tree "
He just sent me more information (I don't know whether this is of interest but I thought I'd pass it along just in case).
"Subject: RE: Hubalde Raymond Daigle (1886 - 1920)
Thanks Kevin. One thing Mimi missed: my grandmother, Albertine Helen Ouellette, married for a second time, December 1920, John Gagnon. They were married for 20 years with no children.
and one more thing. The "Clifford" in the above data refers to my father. His full name is Lewellyn Clifford Daigle. Many trees have either the Clifford first or just leave off his first name completely. he went by the name "Clif".
Raymond and Evelyn (correct spelling)both had the last name Daigle.
Hubalde (correct spelling) was the brother of Arthur Raymond Daigle, Adelard Raymond Daigle, Catherine Daigle, Evina Marie Daigle, Delphine Daigle, Vincent Raymond Daigle, Eugenie Daigle, Marianne Daigle, Vital Raymond Daigle, Albert Raymond Daigle and Eloi Raymond Daigle. There were no other brothers and sisters or different spellings.
Regards,
Mike Daigle"
