About Hubert Elmer Blake
Hubert E. Blake, 92, of Conway,NH, died at the Merrimann House, North Conway, after a long illness.
He was born in Brownfield, a son of Elmer and Rissie Chandler Blake, and graduated from Fryeburg Academt in 1928.
Mr. Blake lived in Warwick, RI for 30 years before moving to Conway in 1984.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was a farmer in Brownfield in the thirties, and he worked for the Knight Farms in Warwick, RI, for several years. He also worked for the City of Providence, RI, Water Department from where he retired in the late seventies as a foreman.
His wife, Florence Corrow Blake, predeceased him in 1979.
