Evidence from genealogical records proves that the Nicoll and Lisonbee families traveled to Utah in 1854. Further research is needed to determine the name of the company they traveled with.
Hugh initially came to Utah sometime between 1848–1850, went to California, and from there to Mississippi to bring his mother and siblings to Utah in 1854.
