Hugo Waelder

Flora Metzger Waelder was the daughter of Sigmund Metzger and Sophia Berg. She married on 7 November 1904 to Hugo Waelder in Heidelberg, Germany. Hugo died before Flora was able to get out of Germany in 1939- 1940, she went to Cuba before her family could sponsor her to come to the USA in 1943. She was the last of her immediate Metzger family to get out of Germany, the rest perished in the Holocaust. (Contributor: Carrie Karbley 47813795)
