About Hugues de Montfort-sur-Risle, III
Hugues III of Montfort-sur-Risle was the son of Hugues II and his second wife, whose name and parentage are unknown.
Hugues III was Lord of Haughley. His wife's name is unknown. They had two children:
- Robert II de Montfort-sur-Risle, Lord of Haughley. There is no identified primary source for his parentage although Charles Cawley lists him as the son of Hugues III.
- Adelisa de Montfort-sur-Risle . Again there is not an identified primary source for her parentage but Charles Cawley accepts her as the daugher of Hugues III. She married (1) Simon de Moulins and (2) Robert de Vere, Constable of England.

HENRY de MONTFORT d. before 1130 - - Burke's states that Henry was the son of Thurstan who was a younger son of Hugues de Montfort-sur-Risle and succeeded his brother Robert de Montfort when he d.s.p., however, I cannot find any contemporary sources to show this link. There is a Thurstan de Mundford who was one of Henry, Earl of Warwick's barons and witnessed one of the earl's charters to Abingdon which is dated before 1097. Some suggest that Henry's son Thurstan was the son of Hugh de Montfort and Adeline de Beaumont, and grandson of Gilbert de Gent and Alice de Montfort, however, I can find no sources for that either. The Complete Peerage states:...
