In the year 1066, during the conquest of England, at the age of 34, Hughes Suhart, now called Hugues d'Isigny, fight alongside companions of William, accompanied by his son Robert d'Isigny. Remaining across the Channel after the win, the Isigny Lordship therefore finds himself attached to the bishopric of Bayeux. Hughes and his son Robert d'Isigny, never returned to France. Hugh dIsigny decided to settle in the area of Lincoln, now known as "Norton Disney".

Established England on behalf of the families of Isigny, was naturally anglicized to Disney. Today, in the Coventry area, two villages still exist under the names: Norton Disney and Disney. Much later, a branch of this family will go to Ireland, the departure point of the grandparents of the famous Walt Disney.

Name changed progressively from de Ysini, to d'Is'ny, then finally to 'Disney'
