About Ida Luetta Child
Relatives Attend Funeral of Former Resident at Provo -- Several Star Valley relatives attended the funeral of Ida Luetta Roberts (Mrs. Edgar Roberts) 75, at Provo, Utah, Monday in the Provo Fifth Ward. Mrs. Roberts died at a Provo hospital last Thursday, January 29.
Born May 19, 1877, at Deweyville Utah she was a daughter of O.R, and Sarah Urinda Child early Fairview pioneers. She was married to Edgar T. Roberts October 20, 1897, in the Salt Lake Temple and shortly afterwards she and her husband filled a mission in the Samoan Islands.
They lived in Afton many years while Edgar was engaged in the mercantile business. They moved to Burley, Idaho, and lived there for several years, before moving to Provo. Mr. Roberts died several years ago and Mrs. Roberts had been in poor health since his death. They had two children Mrs. Rulon (Fern) Morgan of Provo and Ted Roberts of Ogden. Among those attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Child, Doyle Child, Marvin Rich and Mrs. John Miller.
