SOUTHINGTON, CONN. and ST. AGATHA – Ida Cyr, 92, of Southington, Conn., originally from St. Agatha, died Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Southington Care Center. She was the wife of Albert (Darcy) Cyr. They were married for 73 years. She was born on April 4, 1919 in St. David, the daughter of the late Robert Cyr and Elise (Clavette) Cyr. Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter, Jeannine (Cyr) Caron and husband Wally of Bristol, Conn.; sons, James and his wife Connie of Southington, Conn., and Gilman and his wife Marie Claire of Bristol, Conn.; sisters, Martha Daigle of Enfield, Conn., Mildred Emond of Oxford, Mass., and her brother Adrian Cyr of Madawaska. She was affectionately known as Mémère by her seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Remie, Alphy, and Paul; a sister, Mamie Martel. A funeral Mass was celebrated March 14 at the St. Dominics Church followed by burial at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington, Conn. For condolences visit www.dellavecchiafh.com.
