In 1900 Otto and his wife Ida were residing at Center Township, Jewell County, Kansas where Otto was employed as a Cattle Agent. By this time their first daughter Maisie had been born in Mankato in 1897 and it was then that the family moved to Spokane, Washington (Ida's mother and other family members were living there)their second daughter Gladys Pearl was born 1907 in Spokane. But on December 10 1909. Ida died of Consumption in Opportunity, Near Spokane, Washington.
