Mrs. Ida S. Merrill
Mechanic Falls, Jan. 28 - Mrs. Ida S. Merrill, widow of Herbert Merrill, died Thursday morning at her home at 54 Elm Street following a short illness. She was born at Fairfield, Oct. 1, 1853, the daughter of Henry Penney and Annie (Conant) Penney. She was an attendant of the Congregational Church. She had been a resident of town for about 15 years coming here from West Falmouth.
Surviving relatives are
- one son, Lt. Com. Albert G. Merrill, whose home is in Roslindale, Masaschusetts, and
- three daughters,
- Mrs. Lillian Walker of Portland
- Mrs. Adams Trimer (sic: Ada M. Strimer) of Parksburg (sic: Parkersburg), West Virginia, and
- Miss Hattie Merrill, also of Parksburg.
Died
At Mechanic Falls, Jan. 23, Mrs. Ida S. Merrill. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational Church. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends please omit flowers.
