Mrs Ida Potts

Mrs Ida Belle Delahoy Potts, 87, of 206 Sunnyview, Friendswood, Texas, passed away Tues November 25th at her residence. Born June 19, 1882 in Fulton, IA. Mrs Potts had been a resident of Friendswood for 26 years and a member of the Friends Church. Mrs Potts moved with her parents, Mr and Mrs Elija Delahoy to Blue Hill, Nebraska when she was a small child. She attended the Blue Hill schools and was a member of the Blue Hill Methodist Church. She was married to Robert A. Potts in 1898 and lived in Blue Hill until they moved to a farm South of Bladen where they lived until moving to OR in 1940. Mr Potts passed away in September of 1941. Survives are daughters: Mrs Thelma Skinner, Cody WY, Mrs Carolyn Cornett and Mrs Emma Allman of Friendswood, Mrs Edith Henderickson of Blue Hill, Nebraska, and Mrs June Duval of Inavale; sons: Oliver Potts of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Leo of Boardman, OR, Harley of Blue Hill, Robert of Monroe Wisconsin, and Donald of Jefferson City, MO. Also 34 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Services were held on Friday November 28 at the Friends Church with the Rev. Galen L. Hinshaw Officiating. Services and burial were at the Dalles, OR on Saturday Nov. 29th. Mr and Mrs Ray Hendrickson and Mrs Marion Duval went to Friendswood, Texas to attend services at the Friends Church. Mr and Mrs Gerald Potts and Mr and Mrs Harley Potts went to Dalles OR, to attend services and burial. ----------------------------------------------------------------- OOPS WE GOOFED The name of Gerald Potts, Hastings was unintentionally omitted from the list of surviving sons in Ida Potts obituary we printed last week.
