About Ida M Slonaker
Mrs. Ida M. Slonaker, 82, Fairfield, died at the Brethren Home at Cross Keys, Sunday evening at 6 o'clock. She had been a guest at the home for a year. The widow of Ira C. Slonaker, who died March 4, 1923, she was a lifelong resident of Adams county and a daughter of the late George and Jane (Mickley) Henry. She was a seasonal employee at the Orrtanna Canning plant for 25 years, and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Fairfield, and the LCW of the church. Surviving are eight children: Mrs. Alma Myers, Gettysburg R.3; Charles Slonaker, Aspers; Mrs. Jessie Deardorff, Gettysburg R. 3; Stanley Slonaker, Deming, N.M.; Kenneth Slonaker, Fairfield R. 2; Mrs. Margaret Shriver, 316 Barlow St., Mrs. Ethel Schultz, Gettysburg R. 6; and Mrs. Maysie Deardorff, Fairfield R. 1; 25 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. John Lutheran Church, Fairfield, with her pastor, Rev. Lloyd Seiler officiating. Interment will be in Flohr's Cemetery, McKnightstown. Friends may call at the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, on Tuesday evening and at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 until the time of service.
