Topeka Capital-Journal, Feb. 7, 1989, page 6A: Mrs. Imogene R. Kennon, 70, Topeka, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 1989, at a Topeka hospital. Mrs. Kennon was a nurse 21 years at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Topeka before she retired more than 10 years ago.

She was born Dec. 24, 1918, at Dwight, the daughter of Lewis Edward and Hazel May Beaver Euler. She attended Dwight schools and was graduated from Dwight High School. She later was graduated from Asbury Hospital School of Nursing at Salina and took advanced nurses' training at St. Louis, Mo. She moved from Topeka to Dwight after she retired, then returned to Topeka in December 1988.

Mrs. Kennon was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dwight and national Association of Retired Government Employees.

She was married to Charles E. Kennon Nov. 2, 1943. He died in April 1960. Survivors include a sister, Doris E. Inlow, Halstead; and two brothers, Samuel N. Euler, Dwight, and Clyde E. Euler, Modesto, Calif.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery. Mrs. kennon will lie in state until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Dwight, 66849
