Ina May Reed, daughter of Owry Quillian Fraley and Mattie Florence Davenport Fraley was born May 27, 1917 at Chester, NE, and passed away Dec. 30, 1996 at the Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, KS, at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 3 days.

She graduated in 1934 from Chester High School, and attended one semester at the college in Hebron, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Howard George Reed on August 16, 1940 and to this union five children were born: Lorelei, Ramona, Nancy, Howard E. and Jane. They moved to this community in 1954. She was a homemaker and a retired restaurant manager.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was the jr. choir director for the Chester Methodist Church and the Belleville Methodist Church and was a part time Sunday School adult class teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jayo Fraley; three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law.

She is survived by her husband, Howard G. Reed, Belleveille; four daughters, Mrs. Lorelei Lindblad and husband, Lindy, Beloit, KS, Mrs. Ramona Earley and husband Marvin, Thornton, CO, Mrs. Nancy Ray and husband Jim, Lincoln, NE, and Mrs. Jane Jeardoe and husband Jesse, Concordia, KS; oen son, Howard E. Reed and wife Beth, Belleville, KS; 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Dewey, Belleville, Mrs. Iola Crouse, Belleville, Mrs. Nellie Eickman, Lincoln, NE, and Mrs. Betty Corbit, Stromsburg, NE, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, 1997 at the United Methodist Church, Chester, NE, conducted by Rev. T.J. Fraser. Interment was made in the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.

Memorials were given to Hospice of Heartland or United Methodist Church, Chester, NE.
