About Ingeborg Anna Nelson

Ingeborg didn't use the Stensvold surname when she came to the US as her brother, Elling, did. Her marriage certificate and the birth certificates of her children lists her surname as "Johanson". She arrived in New York on 11 Mar 1904 on the ship, "Celtic" of the White Star Line, departing Liverpool, England and went to Clarkfield, Minnesota. She married Hans Martin Nelson and the family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in the late 1920's where they lived the rest of their lives. Both Hans and Ingeborg were returned to Clarkfield, Minnesota for burial after their deaths.
