Irene Carrie Koppenhaver

TOWER CITY - Irene C. Koppenhaver, 101, of 1017 E. Colliery Ave., formerly of Rakers Mill Road, Elizabethville, died Wednesday, June 9 at her home.

Born in Lykens Twp., she was the daughter of the late James and Katie Beisel Troutman.

She was the oldest member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Berrysburg.

She was the widow of George L. Koppenhaver.

Surviving are a daughter, Sara Doe of Tower City; three sons, Larry of Manheim, Richard of Elizabethville and Paul of Terri, Mont.; a brother, John Troutman of Elizabethville; a sister, Florence Young of McAlisterville; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bruce.

Services were held June 15 from Hoover Funeral Home in Elizabethville. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Elizabethville.
