Isaac Tidwell Allen

Isaac Tidwell Allen, son of James Dickerson Allen (1804 - 1852) and Sarah Ann Hardy (1804 - 1872), was born 22 April 1830 at Warren, Trumble, Ohio, and died at the age of 80 on 10 January 1912 at Reedville, Oregon; he is buried at West Union Cemetery, Washington, Oregon.

He married Asenath Cecilia Dustin (25 February 1829 Leroy, Gennessee, New York - 28 February 1900 Oregon) on 19 December 1850 in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, a widow with two daughters from her previous marriage. One of the girls, Elizabeth Swan, died in early infancy.

In 1852 Isaac, Asenath, Asenath's daughter Anna, and their son Isaac Alexander, emigrated to Utah with the Isaac M. Stewart Company. They went on to California and eventually settled in Oregon.

• It is unknown if there were truly two sons named Truman; it's possible that one died early and the name was re-used, or possibly there was only one Truman and some records list an incorrect birthdate. Further research is needed.
