Isaac Baldwin, son of Thomas Baldwin and Abigail Pollard, was b. in Billerica, Mass., on May 22,1760; he settled and d. in Cavendish, Vt. He was a SOLDIER AT WEST POINT the DAY OF ARNOLD"S TREASON and marched to New York when that city was evacuated. He m. June 13,1782, EMMA OR ANNIE COFFEEN, dau. John Coffeen and Susannah Goldsmith or Gould Smith, and lived on his father's "pitch," in Cavendish.

Children were: Enos (1783), John Coffeen (1785), Amy (1787), Abigail (1789), Susanna (1791), Isaac (1793), Thomas (1797), Pollard (1799), Goldsmith (1804), Elmira (1806), and Zilpah (1807).

Isaac married Amy "Emma" Coffeen, 13 Jun 1782, in Cavendish, VT. They had 11 children.

Isaac came to Cavendish with his father and was a Revolutionary Soldier. He served first from Woburn, Mass. in 1777 when he joined Capt. Danforth's Company. He moved to Cavendish and served for Vermont in Capt. Coffeen's Company in 1781 and was at West Point when Benedict Arnold defected. He also was present when the City of New York was evacuated by the British. He built his home in 1818.

Isaac was a lifetime resident of Cavendish - a farmer, neighbor and friend. Always a kind word for his neighbors, he and Amy would minister to the sick and destitute without monetary reward.

Isaac was a cabinet-maker and carpenter. He helped his son-in-law Joe Parker and his daughter Amy Baldwin build their home and fitted the kitchen with proper cabinets.

Isaac Baldwin was born at Billerica, Massachusetts, on 22 May 1760, the son of Thomas Baldwin and Abigail (Pollard) Baldwin.[1][2]
Marriage

Isaac Baldwin married Amy Coffeen at Cavendish, Vermont, on 13 Apr 1782.[3]
Death

The gravestone of Isaac Baldwin at the Coffeen Cemetery in Cavendish, Vermont, says that he died on 4 Oct 1832 at the age of 72.[4]
