About Isaac Corsa
Son of Benjamin F. CORSA and Jannetje REYERA.
---
He married 9 Apr 1761 at the First Presbyterian Church of New York City to Mary GIBB, dau. of Andrew GIBB.
---
Loyalist. He relocated at Nova Scotia after the American Revolutionary War. He perhaps died at Nova Scotia, Canada as some say; but there are indications that he and some of his family returned to the U.S.A. prior to his death in 1822. His estate was probated at Fordham, Westchester Co. (Now Bronx Co.), New York.
He and hi wife, Mary, supposedly were buried in the private burial ground of the CORSA Family located in the circular garden behind St. John's Hall on the Rose Hill Campus of Fordham University. The CORSA family once owned the land that Fordham University now occupies. The Corsa family cemetery site was discovered in the 1840's when St. John's Hall was under construction.
