Inscription Here lyes buried ye body of Mr. Isaac Howland deceased March ye 9th. 1723 / 4 in ye 75th. year of his age ................

Per Michael James Arrison's gedcom data file, the date of Issac's death is 1722 or 1723. (Frank J. Arrison 11/12/2008)

Per Mayflower Families Through Five Generations Vol. 23, Part One, John Howland, page 13, co 2006.

"ISAAC(2) Howland (John 1) was born at Plymouth about 1649 and died at Middleborough 9 March 1723/4 in his 75th year."

YDNA is presumed matched to Samuel Wood, son of Ephraim, and Susannah (Howland) Wood, daughter of Isaac Howland. Descendants of Ephraim Wood have tested through FTDNA, and 23andMe. This Samuel Wood is a confirmed descendant of: Susannah (Howland) Wood (3), Isaac Howland (2), John Howland (1), in Mayflower silver books and the will of Ephraim Wood. Samuel's YDNA markers can be compared to find matches to him. However, the DNA relationship to Susannah through her son has not yet been confirmed for acceptance into the General Mayflower Society. Proof of descendancy for society membership still requires a paper trail of documentation of each generation.
