Isaac Platt

Isaac Platt, born 1699 in Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, NY; died 05 Feb 1763 in Huntington, Suffolk County, Long Island, NY. He was the son of Jonas Platt and Sarah Scudder.

When Isaac married Abigail Skidmore, Isaac was a widower, but the name of his first wife is unknown. It was Abigail's third marriage. Isaac married (3) Mary.

Isaac served as Constable, Assessor, Town Trustee, and was Town President 1746-1753. The Platt genealogy says that no will for Isaac is found, nor anything to show that he left descendants, but unidentified Platt children are found in the baptismal records 1723-1750. The Skidmore genealogy assigns him two sons by Abigail Skidmore, but makes no mention of children by his first wife.

He is buried in the Old Cemetery at Huntington.On 13 May 1736 he was NOT mentioned as brother in the will of Zebulon Platt of Huntington.
