Rifleman Isaac Port (1916 South Africa - 28/05/1943 Italy) service number: 11588, Kaffrarian Rifles, was the son of Mrs. Celia Schecter (formerly Port) and the late Solomon Port, of East London, Cape Province, South Africa.
He died of wounds, received in air raid at POW Camp 75, whilst a POW. He is buried in the Bari War Cemetery, Italy, grave II. B. 34.
He is commemorated at the National Jewish War Memorial, West Park Cemetery, Johannesburg and at the South African National Museum of Military History, Johannesburg.
