About Isaac Riley
He was a shipping merchant in the city of New York, the owner of sixteen vessels; also a bookseller and publisher there and in Philadelphia. He was the owner of two townships in Maine, "Ketcham" and "Riley," to which he took a colony of settlers from Philadelphia in 1823. He married, September 30, 1794, Hannah Alsop, of Middletown, Connecticut.
