Note: From notes of John E. Hildreth: Isaac Rittenhouse listed in the 1790 Census for Chester, PA. in East Nantmeal Township. Histories of Harrison County, VA/WV says that family came from Chester County, PA to Louisa County, VA before 1795 and that Isaac is of the 5th generation in America. Family moved to Harris on County, VA/WV. Isaac took tomahawk rights to grant at Dola in Harrison County around 1810. Will 7 Jun 1834 cited in Will Book 4, page 364, Court July 1834 Harrison County. Settlement 16 Jun 1835 Will Book 5, Page 111. Census records: 1810 Writtenhouse, Isaac next door to George Wyer (Wire) 1830 Rittenhouse, Isaac 70/80 Female 20/30 Isaac listed in 1790 Census for Chester Co., PA East Nantmeal Twp.
