About Isaac Satterthwaite

Isaac Satterthwaite was born in Colton, Lancashire in 1829 to Michael & Agnes Satterthwaite.

Isaac married an Ann Clarke in Colton in 1851. They had at least one daughter, also named Agnes, in 1852. They may have had more children, but the author cannot find any evidence of this at this time.

Isaac started off as a Wood Turner, but later moved to Barrow in Furness to work on the railway. It seems unlikely to the author that he left the Lake District, and is probably buried in either Colton or Barrow in Furness.
