In loving memory of Ivar Arthur Lassi, 83 years of Capreol who passed away Monday morning, January 31st, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. He was born in Kapina and married Edith Puliston. Ivar came to Capreol in 1991 from Nakina. He was an engineer with the CNR having 41 years service retiring in 1981. A proud Canadian he served overseas with the Canadian Army during WWII. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. "Till we meet at the next fishing spot". Beloved husband of Edith Puliston Lassi of Capreol. Loving father of Diane Hughes husband Don of Capreol, Barbara Chamberlain husband Jim of Aylmer, Charlotte Maurer husband Eugene of Portland Michigan and Janet Ferraro predeceased husband Mario of Nakina. Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear son of Ivar and Lydia Alassapi Lassi predeceased. Dear brother of Margaret Kerr husband Jack of Pinawa, Manitoba and the late Edward, William Einar and Eva all predeceased. Dear brother-in-law of Gerry Lassi of Winnipeg. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. At Ivar's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
