Jacob Cagle, Sr. was married first to Sarah (MNU) Cagle (1755 NC - 1820 Buncombe County, NC). They were married abt. 1772 in North Carolina.

Jacob Cagle, Sr. and Lucy had seven children together by their marriage:

• (4) Sarah Cagle (1790 Moore Co., AL - Dec 1850 Marshall Co., AL) Sarah Ann Lewis, she married Robert Lewis.
• (5) Henry Pinkney Cagle (1793 NC - Nov 1843 TN) Henry Pinckney Cagle
• (6) John David Cagle (09 Apr 1800 NC - 03 Feb 1863 TN) John David Cagle, he married Mary Carter.
• (7) William Cagle (03 Feb 1803 NC - 07 July 1876 Oregon) William Cagle, he married first to Milley Dees; he married second to Hannah Garner.

Jacob Cagle, Sr. (01 Apr 1755 NC - 14 Aug 1845 TN) married second to Sarah "Sally" (MNU) in 1821 in Warren County, Tennessee...this is if the widows pension app. that a Sarah Cagle, wife of a Jacob Cagle, is for the Jacob Cagle, Sr. that this memorial was created for. They did not have any children by their marriage.

Jacob Cagle born April 1755, Gilford, North Carolina and died August 14, 1845, in Warren County, Tennessee, Jacob's first wife Lucy was the mother of all the Children, and his 2nd wife was Sarah "Sally" , and they had no children.
Jacob was in the Revolutionary War. He was in the service twice and the third time he was drafted.
Jacob was the first son to be born in the Guilford County, North Carolina of North Carolina in April 1755. In the South, in the Guilford Region, Jacob's Will Was Recorded July 05, 1836 / September 1825. Jacob and his second wife married 1821, (Jacob and his first wife had five sons and two daughters. Jacob was a resident of Moore County, Mecklenburg, and Buncombe County, North Carolina.
Jacob Cagle died in Warren County Tennessee. His son's Charles and Henry also died there.
