Biography
Jacob Elwell , son of Samuel Elwell and Esther Dutch, was born 10 August 1662 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts. He was killed 11 May 1710 at Cape Sable in what is now Nova Scotia, Canada.[1][2]
Jacob married Abigail Vinson 7 June 1658, probably in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts, where the marriage was recorded in Town Records.[3] Later Court Records suggest the marriage may have taken place in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts,[4] although that seems less likely since both Jacob and Abigail lived in Gloucester.
