J. Lustig Formerly of Island Grove, Dies At Chicago

Jake Lustig 75, died March 12 at St James hospital, Chicago Heights. His illness was diagnosed as cancer. Mr. Lustig had gone to the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Ray McIntire, in Park Forest, Illinois. about a month before. He was employed at the Bunch Nursery in Terre Haute and had worked until Christmas, but has been in failing health since that time.

Mr. Lustig was born at Island Grove October 23, 1878, the son of the late Martin and Catherine (nee Rose) Lustig. He was united in marriage to Rose Adams of Teutopolis on June 2, 1903. She preceded him in death in January of 1953.

Surviving are four daughters, Loraine Lustig of Terre Haute, Mrs Perry (Mary] Baird and Mrs Michael (Clara] Donahue of Indianapolis and Mrs Raymond (Mildred) McIntire of Park Forest, Illinois, two sons Lambert and Alvin of Alexandria Indiana and 12 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife were sisters Mary, who died in infancy, Mrs Rosa Grace of Terre Haute, Mrs Matilda Lux of Island Grove, and Mrs Clara Jensen of Effingham, and brothers Joe Lustig of Island Grove, William of Dieterich and Martin of Chicago Heights.

Services were held at St Benedict Church in Terre Haute. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
