About Jacob Mebie
Notes for Jacob Mabie: Jacob's baptism is not recorded. It is possible that Jacob was an adopted child. Anna's sister, Tryntje, gave birth to an illegitimate son named Jacob, of whom there is no further record. One theory is that this child was adopted by Jan and Anna as their own.
