Abraham and Gertrude Pardo, and my grandfather, Jacob Pardo (a prominent Jew known in the jewelry world as "King of the Pearl") were arrested together on September 14, 1942. They were sent to Auschwitz on Nazi train convoy #39 on September 30, 1942 from Camp Draney, only 9 days after Hector. We believe grandfather died on the train as there is no record of his arrival. Aunt and Uncle died on October 5, 1942.
