Married 1st Oct. 11, 1865 to Jerusha Talbott dahguter of Edward Talbott. She was the mother of Ella (Ben) Viquseny, Henrietta (Alman) Poling, Lillie (Willie) Williams, Annie (James) Curtis, and Dosia (died in infancy). She died in 1874 soon after giving birth to (Dosia) her last child.

Married 2nd Apr. 23, 1875 to Isabella Reed daughter of Addison Reed and Elizabeth Talbott Reed.
