Jacob W Toews

Funeral Services for Jacob W. Toews, 89, of Sanford, Fla., who died Thursday will be at 3 p.m. today at the New Tribes Mission Retirment Homes Chapel.

Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday morning at the Oaklawn Park Cemetery in Florida.

He was born May 15, 1916, in Inman, Kansas. He was a longtime resident of Sanford. Before moving to Florida, he lived in Venezuela for many years devoting his life to the Lord by becoming a missionary. He worked with the tribal people of the Amazon. He met and married his wife Freda in the mission field where they were married. He enjoyed inventing and carpentry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Sara Jean Toews.

He is survived by his wife Freda Toews of Sanford, Fla; sons Brent Toews, Sanford, and Jacob Toews, Calera; and sister Ruth Owens of San Antonio, Texas.
