  • ***MY PERSONAL NOTE: Regarding Jacob Vaught's Cause of Death: PARALYSIS -

I am wondering if Jacob Vaught may have been the one to carry the GENE for Familial Partial Paralysis caused by potassium deficiency that is passed from Mothers only to Sons. My Dad had this RARE Disease, woke up paralyzed one morning and rushed to the hospital. He always had to manage his potassium levels up to his death. I would like to know if any other family members had it too.

FAMILIAL PERIODIC PARALYSIS

   A ***RARE*** INHERITED *** DISORDER

The episodes may follow administration of glucose and are relieved by administration of Potassium chloride. Mosby's Medical Dictionary, 8th edition. © 2009, Elsevier.
