  • A 46-year-old man was arrested at the Chris Hani informal settlement on Friday and is due to appear in court this week. Police said the man's fingerprints were found at the scene of the crime. Two other suspects were also arrested, and the police are trying to determine whether they are linked to the crime

  • The trial of three male suspects was supposed to start at Delmas court from October 10 2011. Five days had been set aside for it: however, the judge did not bother to show up.
  • The case had to be postponed to April 16 2012. And one of the three suspects was released from custody, as the police investigation had produced ‘insufficient evidence’. The family said they were very unhappy about the ‘bungled police-investigation’.
