About Jakob Neumann

Named in the 1700s Hranice records as "Asher Lobl", which at the time meant "Asher son of Lobl".

I know that Jakob was the same person as Asher Lobl because the names line up on the 1784 and 1788 familianten lists, and also because documents related to synagogue seats refer to Isak Lichtenstern and "Schwiegervater Jakob Neumann" (father-in-law), which demonstrates that Lea Lichtenstern is the same person as Lea Neumann who was born to Asher Lobl in 1776. (Their marriage records puts Lea as being born in approx. 1777, though it does not list her father's name.)

Jakob's mother (or first wife) may have been named Liebla?, as someone of that name died on Sep. 20, 1800 in the house of Jakob's son, Moses at the age of 70.

Jakob's wife (maybe second wife) may have been named Katharina, as someone of that name died on Jan. 10, 1815 in the house of Jakob's son, Moses at the age of 65.
