James Allen Brickey was listed as a grandson in Peter Brickey Will (his grandfather's will 1836) He was to receive part of Elija Brickey's estate. James Allen Brickey's MOTHER, Elizabeth gave consent for his marriage to Priscilla Ann Gish in 1845. James and Priscilla married in Botetourt County, Virginia on June 19, 1845.

Cornelia A., 3, Ky - One record shows that Cornelia was b. in Ar., but they are still here in Ky 1860??? Did they go to AR, then back to Ky in time for the census? Or was Cornelia actually born in KY????

James Allen and Priscilla Gish Brickey were living here in Henderson County, during the Civil War Years. 6. A CIVIL WAR ACTION Brig. General A. R. Johnson and 30 CSA raiders took city, caputuring 50 guns, hospital supplies, and commissary stores July 17, 1862 then raided Newburg, Indiana and returned to Henderson. Threat of Morgan's Raiders revented U.S.A. Headquarters at Louisville from sending relief. July 22 troops arrived here from Evansville, Indiana, but CSA troops had abandoned area.
