About James Thomas Calvin Baucom
MONROE, Aug. 2. - James C.T. Baucom died at his house in Goose Creek Township Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock after a lingering affliction of paralysis. The immediate cause of his death, however, was hemorrhage of the brain. He was 62 years of age.
Deceased is survived by his wife, two sons, Adam and Dewey Baucom, and five daughters, Mrs. P.J. Burris, of Albemarle; Mrs. Bruce Love, of Stanly county; Mrs. Walker Medlin, of Stanly; Mrs. Ernest Efird, on Stanly; Mrs. Eva Helms, of Matthews, and Miss Selma Baucom, who lives at the old homestead. Alex Baucom of Richmond county is a half brother, Mrs. G.R. Haigler, of Unionville is a sister, and Mesdames R.C. and H.T. Long and Temple Baucom of New Salem township, are half sisters of the deceased.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon and the interment was in the cemetery at Zion Methodist Church.
