10. James3 Cady, (JAMES2, Nicholas1), b. Watertown, Mass., April 1, 1679; m. April 26, 1711, Thankful How, dau. of Isaac and Frances, b. June 22,1691. He d. in Pomfret . Conn., Jan. 18,1742; she d. there May 18, 1741. Both are buried in Brooklyn, Conn. He was of Sherbum, Mass., a taylor, where in 1709/10 he sold land in Groton, Mass., that was his father's. He was of Marlboro 1712 to 1716, where his first three children were bom.* In 1716 he removed to Pomfret, Conn., where he bought 1oo acres of land of Richard Adams. He was a member of the first church in Brooklyn, Conn., when it was organized in 1734.
