James Thomas Calvert

James T. Calvert, 89, of Waynesburg, PA, died at 3:15 AM Sunday, January 01, 2017, in the Washington Health System Greene in Waynesburg, PA.

He was born Monday, January 06, 1927 in Spraggs,PA. A son of the late Clarence E. Calvert and Lillian Irene Powell Calvert. Mr. Calvert lived his entire life in Greene County.

 Mr. Calvert was a member of the Blacksville Baptist Church in Blacksville, WV. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served from 1950 to 1952 in Germany and France. He was a farmer and school bus driver. He had also worked at the Waynesburg Milling and Agway in Waynesburg. He retired from Accurate Forging and Brass in Brave,PA. as a brass cutter.   

His Wife: Delores Jean Tustin Calvert,  whom he married on June 12, 1953 died February 21, 2016.

Surviving are 2  Daughters: Janet (Stanley) Brock, and Joyce Calvert, all of Morgantown, WV., 1 Son: Joseph (Anna) Calvert, of Waynesburg, PA., 4 Grandchildren: Tim (Stacey) Tennant, Tammi (Johnny) Burkett, Tiffany Calvert, and Debra Calvert, 8 Great Grandchildren: Zander, Katelyn, Brealyn, Shauna, Kelsi, Emmalee, Jozayah, Ezra., 3 Step Grandchildren, 5 Step Great Grandchildren, and 2 Step Great Great Grandchildren,  1 Surviving Brother: Clarence E. Calvert, Jr., of Waynesburg, PA., and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 03, 2017 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director,197 N. Maiden St Waynesburg, PA 15370 where services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 04, 2017 with Pastor Bradley Edgar officiating.  Entombment will be in Greene Co.
